Flushing
A pipe flush effectively removes organic interference from the piping system. When flushing the piping system, the hot water installation is flushed through the flow and return lines by using an air and a pressure boosting pump, thus removing the organic interferences in order to ensure the best possible hygiene.
Piping Hydro-test
A hydrostatic test is a way in which piping networks can be tested for strength and leaks. Hydrostatic testing is the most common method employed for testing pipes and pressure vessels. Using this test helps maintain safety standards and durability of a vessel over time. Newly manufactured pieces are initially qualified using the hydrostatic test. IPEC provides certified hydrostatic testing services with complete engineer stamped test reports.
Piping Leak Test
A leak test is performed to check the sealing integrity of a piping system by applying internal pressure to a pre-determined limit, based on design conditions, then checking joints and component seals for leaks. It is not intended that the MAWP (maximum allowable working pressure) of a piping system be verified or validated. The system is usually pressurized with nitrogen or air to a certain pressure and monitored for a period of time to detect leaks in the system.
Draining
Draining is an operation which is usually being performed during de-commissioning phase when a piping system needs to be freed from the product in order to be ready for either product change or being preserved for a period of time. This operation usually consists of cleaning and draining steps.
Piping Drying
Piping systems may require drying to protect the pipe from internal corrosion caused by the formation of corrosive acids. The most common methods for drying pipelines are drying with super dry air, drying with methanol, drying with inert gas such as nitrogen, and vacuum drying. Sometimes, a combination of two or more methods will be used to achieve a dry pipe at the least cost.
Start-up
Start-up operation involves putting the piping system in service after construction or maintenance period. Over time, enhancements have been made in plant start-up techniques to perform engineered solutions in order to deliver safe and leak-free start-up.
